I mean, who couldn\u2019t, right? There\u2019s just nothing better than a nice relaxing vacation. But like most things in life, you really gotta be careful what you wish for. Sometimes, you just won\u2019t like what you get.<\/p>\n<p>This much was most certainly true for the BrainShart crew when our buddy Panda won 3 free tickets to visit River City! It shoulda been great! River City is a really cool place, filled with culture and food and fun!<\/p>\n<p>Oh and gang violence. Lots and LOTS of brutal and vicious gang violence.<\/p>\n<p>Perhaps we should have known better\u2026 But hey, it\u2019s a free vacation! What more can you ask for. I mean, it\u2019s not like we were going to Detroit, right? It could have been worse.<\/p>\n<p>We thought it might be a fun idea to take our shitty old camcorder along for the ride too (cuz it\u2019s like the 80s down there or something) and we would document our trip for the world to see! What follows, is our attempt at vlogging as we see the sites. Watch as we try to survive the mean streets as we attempt to find SOMETHING worthwhile to salvage during our\u2026 Week in River City!<\/p>\n<h1 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Day Zero:<\/strong><\/h1>\n<p>Nothing much to say here. It was a long flight. And I do mean LOOOOONG. We didn\u2019t film much. We just wanted to get to our hotel and rest up for the road ahead. Also, it seems getting turned into 2D pixels as you get off the plane just REALLY takes a lot out of you. Not sure why it happens in River City\u2026 maybe it has something to do with the elevation. But what do I know? Oh and we beat the crap out of some high schoolers. It\u2019s a rich River City tradition, after all. And we wouldn\u2019t wanna be disrespectful to the locals, right? That&#8217;s pretty much it. The three of us learned an important lesson about working together in tense situations. Oddly enough, a bunch of them have some sort of &#8220;beef&#8221; with us for whatever reason. We also learn the true meaning of teamwork and friendship along the way. Oh and we go around beating up random women because reasons. We\u2019re on vacation! Don&#8217;t worry about us though, we&#8217;ll be fine! On a completely unrelated note, has anyone seen my comically oversized nail file? As if THAT was gonna stop our fun! Afterwards, we tour an old n&#8217; busted High School, get pestered endlessly by people who like to poop on the floor, and we go to a SUPER HYPE amusement park! Oh! And we learn how to ride motorcycles! Maybe I had this town all wrong after all! After that wreck at the end there, I think it&#8217;s safe to say it&#8217;s about time for a little rest and relaxation on this vacation of ours. Not to mention, we are all still covered head to toe in what can only be described as &#8220;prison stank,&#8221; so, yeah, it&#8217;s time for a spa day or something. We figured it was about time we kicked back and relaxed a bit. What were we thinking? It&#8217;s not all bad though. After this impromptu bloodsport happened, we were then approached by a local talent scout. He represented a local dodge ball team and he was a big fan of our determination and our complete and utter lack of shame or dignity. Turns out his team was about to hit the road for their &#8220;big game&#8221; and they wanted to get in one last practice, but the other team never showed up. Why not help them out? We&#8217;re nice guys. Besides what better way to give back to a town that&#8217;s already taken SO MUCH? Lesson learned. We wanted to take a break from the usual River City activities, for sure, but that might have not been the smartest way to go about it. We aren\u2019t super competitive guys, after all. They are really going places&#8211; hopefully far away from us, but still. I really wanna relax now. Come on! I mean, it&#8217;s not like we are gonna have ANOTHER day full of sports ahead of us. Just when we thought we had enough outdoor sports during our vacation, I guess we thought there was only one thing this trip needed: MORE SPORTS! I\u2019d ask for my money back at this point, but the tickets were free. It\u2019s almost over though, how can things get WORSE? Who will come out on top? Who will provide enough salt to fill an entire cracker factory? Who will win by doing literally almost nothing? How did this game get through QA with SO MANY mistakes? The answer to those questions and more await! I think we can all agree that the sooner this trip ended, the better. Our fists are all swollen, our legs are rubber, and we each have this increbibly pounding headache. We can&#8217;t WAIT to get out of this town! The thing is though, that WE aren&#8217;t the only ones who feel that way. God help us&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><!--nextpage--><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.brainshartstudios.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/Rivercity7-1.jpg\"><\/p>\n<h1 style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Day 7:<\/strong><\/span><\/h1>\n<p>We&#8217;re FINALLY here! Our last day in the wretched town! On the bright side, there are NO MORE SPORTS! Not only that, but NOW it turns out they actually WANT us to leave, and they are throwing everything they got at us dirty Americans. Will we survive? Will Panda learn a valuable lesson about grammar? And how can a 7 day trip seem like 20 years in Hell? Because River City, that&#8217;s why!
